is a photographer and artist based in Chicago, IL. Born in Chicago, Ashley grew up loving art and everything about it. From drawing, painting to dancing, all of this influenced her eye and passion to be a visual artist.
Later on, going to college at the University of Illinois - Chicago, created an experience that started her photography career. Originally pursuing her Graphic Design degree, the love for photography came from only one class in her senior year that changed her life for what she wanted to do. After that, it was game on!
Ashley’s signature in photography is capturing a great portrait that brings out the natural essence of a person. She is big on making everyone feel important and seen in front of her lens; and it’s her main reason for picking up a camera.
Her art is an exploration of the value of having the right perspective. Creating a theme of changing the eye of the subject into positive icons such as a heart, sun and flowers shows how we should aim to view life and most importantly ourselves more positively. For example, seeing ourselves through the lens of love (hence, using the heart icon for the eye) can help us to ultimately treat ourselves better, which can breed acts of self-love.
